Art
Established in 1991, Intuit: The Center for Intuitive and Outsider Art (Intuit) is the only nonprofit organization in the United States that is dedicated solely to presenting self-taught and outsider art — with world class exhibitions; resources for scholars and students; a Permanent Collection with holdings of more than 1,100 works of art; the Henry Darger Room Collection; the Robert A. Roth Study Center, a non-circulating collection with a primary focus in the fields of outsider and contemporary self-taught art; and educational programming for people of all interest levels and backgrounds.
Intuit is a not-for-profit organization founded in 1991. Our mission is to promote public awareness, understanding, and appreciation of intuitive and outsider art through a program of education, exhibition, collecting and publishing.
Intuit defines “intuitive and outsider art” as work of artists who demonstrate little influence from the mainstream art world and who instead are motivated by their unique personal visions. This includes what is known as art brut, non-traditional folk art, self-taught art, and visionary art.

Art.Net (also known as Art on the Net) is a collective of artists helping each other to come up on the Internet and share their works on the World Wide Web. Artists create and maintain studios and rooms in the gallery where they show their works and share about themselves.
Currently our site is international, representing over 450 artists from around the world. We have poets, musicians, painters, sculptors, digital artists, performance artists, animators and much more. We are always open to adding artists in new areas.
To reach the artists here, you can visit their studios and see their email address. If you would like to reach the site webmaster, just send it your email to our webmaster address below.

Action
ACTION is a global partnership of advocacy organizations working to influence policy and mobilize resources to fight diseases of poverty and improve equitable access to health services. ACTION partners work across five continents in both donor and high burden countries.
Founded in 2004, ACTION began as a partnership of civil society organizations working to mobilize new resources against tuberculosis (TB), a disease of poverty that kills one person every 20 seconds. ACTION partners have helped influence leaders to contribute more than $1.4 billion for the global TB fight through bilateral and multilateral funding, including through the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB, and Malaria.
Building off our successes in fighting TB globally, ACTION has expanded its advocacy efforts to include child survival, particularly in the areas of vaccines and undernutrition. Vaccines are one of the cheapest and most effective ways to prevent child deaths, yet 1.5 million children die because they don’t have access to routine vaccinations against preventable diseases like measles and pneumonia.
And despite its status as the leading killer of the world’s children, undernutrition programs receive just a fraction of overseas aid funding. ACTION works to ensure donor governments, multilateral mechanisms, and high burden countries invest in the institutions and policies that will ensure every child can grow up healthy and reach their full potential.

Africa
Africa.com is the fastest growing site for travel information as well as business, sports and political news about and from all 53 countries on the continent. It is already a favorite destination for American, European, Latin American, and Asian users interested in travel to Africa.
With Clarke’s reorganization, which launches today, the website is now aimed at becoming a unique platform for world leaders to gain accurate information about the investment climate on the continent and for Africans to communicate with one another.
“My goal for Africa.com is to change the way the world views Africa,” said Clarke. “Yes, it is a continent with tremendous natural beauty and resources, but it also contains some of the world’s fastest growing economies.”
- Africa.com will provide one-stop shopping for comprehensive information about each of the continent’s 53 countries.
- 200 specially curated videos will capture the look and feel of each country.
- Business people and investors will have access to yearly country reports on political rights and civil liberties prepared by internationally recognized Freedom House (www.freedomhouse.org) as well as the rankings on sustainable economic opportunity assessed by the Mo Ibrahim Foundation (www.moibrahimfoundation.org ).
- Business and leisure travelers will access the most comprehensive travel guide available online, with content specially prepared for Africa.com by Lonely Planet.
“Capital costs more when the perceived risks are higher,” said Clarke, an experienced investment banker and analyst. “Accurate, unbiased information about each country on Africa.com will help open doors for capital to flow into the continent because investors will know what the actual risks are as opposed to just the perceived risks.
During a break in her Goldman Sachs career, Clarke lived and worked in South Africa for five years in the 1990s and feels as if she never left. “With the world’s attention focusing on the FIFA World Cup in South Africa this summer,” she said, “I knew that this was the time to turn my full attention back to the continent.”
